	Mission
	Our Mission is to promote the rapid development of school-age girls that are dedicated to competitive basketball and aspire to develop and play at the college level. We strive to inspire, empower and motivate our players to excel in basketball and in life through competitive basketball.

The Houston Challengers is a grassroots girl's basketball organization founded in November of 1999 by Josie & Jaime Aquilar. The first Challengers 14 and Under team took to the court in the Spring of 2000. Over the years the club has grown to multiple teams and sent many players to compete at the college level and pursue their college educations.

Our team is named in memory of the Challenger Space Shuttle and her outstanding team of astronauts. We will forever carry their strength and courage.
